To arrive in Scalea there are three airports:
- Lamezia Terme (www.sacal.it ) is about 120 kms. south:
On bout follow signs SALERNO SS.18 and follow the coast road passing Falerna, Amantea, Paola, Belvedere.
The SS.18 takes you from the airport directly to SCALEA.
At about 2 km from the airport is the train station.
- Napoli-Capodichino (www.portal.gesac.it) is about 240kms. north:
When you exit of the airport you proceed in direction northeast.
(Turn left toward Prolungation P. Borrelli and continue onto first street Via G. Pascoli.) Turn left into Via Casoria 301 and turn right into Via Circumvallazione Estrena di Napoli.
Turn right to merge onto the A1 and take exit Bari/Salerno/A14/A30.
Enterimg onto the A16, take exit A30 to Salerno on E841 and continue taking the exit towards A3 Reggio Calabria. Take exit the SS18 and carry on straight to Corso Mediterraneo in Scalea.
At about 7.3 km from the airport is the train station.
- Fiumicino airport (
www.adr.it ) is 371kms. north:
When you exit the airport you proceed in direction northwest, then turn left on Viale di Porto and turn left into Via delle Idrovore Fiumicino.
Turn left onto Viale Coccia di Morto and go left onto Viale del Lago di Traiano. At the roundabout take the second exit in Via of Airport of Fiumicino/SS296.
Arriving in Piazza Umberto Nobile take the first exit for Via A. Guidoni.
In the square of the Tredici Aviatori Caduti Kindu take the first exit at Via M. De Bernardi, continue on A91 and take the exit towards Firenze/SS1/A1
.
Keep right at the fork, follow signs for E45/A1/L’Aquila/E80/Napoli/A24 and enter in A90/E80.
Take exit Interscambio Autostradale A90/A1 toward Roma Sua to Napoli/E45/A1. Revenue in A1 Dir, take exit A1/E45 toward Napoli then take the exit for A30 toward E55/A3/Salerno/E842/Reggio C./A16/Bari/ Avellino/A14 continue on the E841, take exit onto A3 direction Reggio Calabria.
Finally, take exit Lagonegro north to enter the SS585/Fondo Valle del Noce proceeding toward the SS18 arrive in Scalea.
At about 40.9 km from airport is find the train station.
**The railway stations are easily reached by taxi and / or with the common means of transport (Bus Lines, Regional Buses, etc).
